Credit and Collections Manager

Job Description

Primary Function:

The Credit Manager is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and timely cash collections. Oversees investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers and advises on course of action for credit applications. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Monitors and negotiates on the collection of overdue accounts. Monitors credit and collection processes and operations; makes recommendations on opportunities for improvement.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts receivable and collections activity.
  • Drives positive customer experience and actively contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Develop and enhance collections procedures to maintain or reduce days sales outstanding, past due percentages and improve cash flow.
  • Review and evaluate credit applications for approval, establishing credit limits and actively managing them.
  • Responsible for all collections calls (including preemptive collections).

Quality Engineer

Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Fulfill the role of Quality Engineer for Rapid.  This is a hands-on position.  Ensure the quality of the parts produced at RAPID meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively taking action when non-conformances are found.  Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering:

  1. Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
    1. Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials related issues.
    2. Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
    3. Effectively communicate and reinforce RAPID’s commitment to quality improvement efforts
  2. Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.  Review and analyze results.  Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
  3. Responsible for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective and preventive action. –  including response to customer SCAR’s.
  4. Perform duties in accordance with quality system requirements as the voice of RAPID’s customers.
  5. Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 6 sigma and Lean manufacturing.
  7. Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.
  8. Determine and sponsor Quality Inspection tools and automation as appropriate

Supervision:

  1. Provide leadership to the Quality Control department across all three shifts. This would include but not be limited to;
    1. Adequate staffing levels to support manufacturing across all three shifts to minimize shop restraint.
    2. Cross train inspectors to perform multiple tasks and functions within the department.
    3. Hiring, terminations, establishing work hours, wage adjustments and performance reviews.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Internal – Regularly interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and all Manufacturing functions.
  • External – Regularly interact with all levels of customers and prospects.
  • Back up for Inspection Supervisors and the Director of Quality

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, prefer Manufacturing or Mechanical
  • Experience managing a quality management system (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Solid mechanical aptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes)
  • Proficiency in GD&T.
  • Proficiency with analyzing processes and develop improvements
  • Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Customer quality assurance experience.
  • Previous audit experience.
  • Proficiency in PPAP, FMEA, Cpk, Gauge R&R

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of machining and sheet metal processes
  • Formal training and previous experience as a Lead Internal Auditor.

Primary Function:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and remove defective products
  • Mix solutions and fill tanks
  • Work to ensure that the inventory of powder and other related materials: filters, spare parts etc. are maintained to ensure that production needs are met.
  • Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovens and work with the Maintenance department to ensure that ovens and paint equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
  • Check the flow and viscosity of the powder.
  • Check product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections.

  • Communicates job expectations, monitors and appraises results. Coaches and disciplines employees as appropriate.  Charged with enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Direct and coordinate the production activities so that the manufacturing of products meets quality standards, customer delivery and cost objectives.
  • Drives shop floor metrics resulting in improvements in quality, productivity, on-time delivery and cost reduction.

  • Proven ability to manage successfully in a high growth, rapid expansion environment.
  • Expertise is automated, high precision component manufacturing
