Jay is the Founder and CEO/ President of RAPID, started in 2001. RAPID developed from Jay’s prior career of selling and delivering prototypes to Mechanical Engineers and Product Developers throughout New England. Jay first got involved with Additive Manufacturing/ 3D Printing in 1989 when he wrote the business plan and shepherded the startup of the first Stereolithography service bureau in New England, Santin Engineering. He then, in a hands-on role, birthed the first large scale CNC model shop in New England, Apple Pattern (now Mack Prototype). Recruited to help launch Brookfield Rapid Solutions (now Vaupell Rapid Solutions) in 1996, Brookfield quickly became the largest Stereolithography service bureau in New England.
Jay holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Len has served as RAPID’S Chief Financial Officer since 2012. In addition to overseeing the financial and accounting group, Len leads RAPID’S Business Systems & Facilities, Human Resources and oversees all Sales activities. Prior to joining RAPID, Len worked primarily in the Banking Industry in a variety of roles, though generally in the Commercial Lending arena. Len holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Co-op) from Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada).
Tom has been the Chief Operating Officer for RAPID since 2010. The role includes leading operations, software development, purchasing, facilities, and customer service. Before joining RAPID he held senior leadership positions as President for Park Electrochemical Aerospace and Vice President for Teradyne’s Connection System Division that included managing a $400M business unit. Over his 40 year career in manufacturing he has held a variety of operational and technical roles. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science Industrial Engineering degree from Purdue University. Tom also serves on the Board of the Southern New Hampshire Health System in Nashua, NH.
