What is a Countersink?
A countersink is a conical hole cut into a manufactured object allowing a screw, nail, or bolt to be inserted flush with the surface. Machined countersinks are created with a drill press while formed countersinks are created with punch press tooling. We offer both machined and formed countersinks.
Tip: We recommend the major diameters of countersinks measure between 0.090 in. and 0.500 in. using one of the following standard angles: 82°, 90° 100° and 120°.
|Formed countersink major diameter||+/-0.010 in.|
